right now I am putting 2 teaspoons of pickling lime per gallon of water and 30 ml of vinegar. Is this good or am I doing something wrong? Also can I mix 5gallons of pickling lime and let it settle that way when I need to yop off my tank I can just scoop up the stuff out of the 5gallon bucket, that way I dont have to constantley be mixing it and waiting for it to settle?

You don't need to add the vinegar to that kalk concentration. You can pre-mix, let settle, but keep the container covered and scoop right out of it. Do not keep stirring it up.

Two tsp per gal is what I use. and according to Dr Randy, you can use up to 45ml of vinager per gallon. I dont see any reason why you cant mix 5 gal at a time. :)

The 45ml vinegar is if you wish to "super-saturate" the limewater. It will allow 3 tspns of kalk to disolve in each gallon of water instead of just 2.
