im interested in the Orbit Compact Fluorescent Light Fixture 2x40w to go over a 10g reef, anyone have any comments/suggestion on these? how about the satellite system, is there any difference?

debating between this and the coralife 96w quad pcs

I've owned both the Coralife and Current Orbit pc fixtures. The Current units are better made and their bulbs seem to have better output. I dunno about the Satellite systems.

Yes you can if you are handy with a soldering gun it's no problem.

The blue moonlight is why I went with the coralife light. No mods needed for the nifty blue and the coralife unit has been good IMO.

I have heard that the Orbit lights are the best quality of the 3 big producers of PC lights (orbit, coralife, satellite)

both units are quality. i've owned Current and Coralife fixtures and they have been great.

If you want the blue moonlights, go with the coralife. As sherm71tank said, you can definitely change the LEDs, but it will be a small soldering task.
