I got hit by a fire coral today.
I picked it up to move it and when I drew my hand away it got my little finger.
It felt like a wasp sting.
I have touched the fire coral at CPE before and it never got me, and the only other coral that ever stung me was a huuuuge bubble coral.

Anyone else ever get zapped ?

Actually that was an electroshock alarm I keep on rare corals !!:eek2:

The only time I've gotten zapped was when I was learning to dive in Marathon FL back in 1986. I brushed up against some Millepora Alcicornis while watching a fierce Damsel try to chase me away from his coral head home:D
