Was looking through some of my galleries and decided to share a few... Some proof that you can get decent pics with a camera other than the coolpix ;)

Xenia...

Goniopora...

All were taken with an Olympus C4040. The Xenia pic was taken with a +4 diopter on the lens. All were taken with all the lights in the room off except for the tank. No flash was used.

All of the images were size down pretty drastically (50-75% reduction).

Hi Matt,

Those are some very nice images.

I agree that great pictures can be taken with cameras other the Nikon Coolpix also. I owned a Coolpix 950 for a short period of time but did not have great success with it. My pictures did not look anywhere near as good as the ones that I took with my other cameras or pictures that others had taken with the same type of camera. While the Coolpix is great for others, it just didn't do well for me.

Is your crispata really that dark? I've seen some forest green ones before, but never THAT dark . . .

Unfortunately, I don't have the crispata anymore. After laying eggs for several weeks, it disappeared. From what I've been told, this is fairly common as they don't live very long after laying eggs.

Yes, it was that dark. It was a dark evergreen color with small bluish broken stripes. The edge of the ruffles where a bright orange/red/brown color. As you may know, many Sacoglossans aver very variable in color. E. crispata that is normally collected in the hobby is a light green color. I've seen one or two others that had a similiar color marking as the one I had. I think that mine was collected off the coast of south america somewhere. I've seen pictures of specimens from Columbia that are very similiar in color.
