just purchased a med(4 inch) clown tang for my 125 reef.put him in with 6 other fish they are,

med purple tang
med kole tang
lg coral beauty
2 oscellaris clowns
flame hawk

cant find too much info on these. anybody out there have one or any knowledge on these.thanks for the help.

they grow large, are usually pretty aggressive, and more difficult to care for because they come from the reef crest areas and are used to water that is super saturated with oxygen amongst other issues.

It is quite likely that the new tang will beat the heck out of the other two. If not now due to size differences, then probably later as it outgrows them.

The clown tang will most likely get attacked by the purple if not both tangs.


Add or completely change your rock/coral structures and that might curtail some of the aggressiveness of the other tangs.
