hi everyone. i have a salt water fish tank that i have recently started. its been about 4 to 5 weeks now and its getting pretty green in there!! also looks like there are some black spots or something forming on the inner glass wall.. is this ok? what should i do?

Can you post a full set of water parameters?
Also your light schedule.
Pictures are also very desireable if you can get some. (of your tank :))

You can scrape the glass clean with a tank scraper. Magfloats are also a nice item so that you can clean the glass daily with little trauma

Yes, you really should be doing basic marine tank water testing during cycling a new tank. The basics would be:

temperature
salinity
pH
ammonia
nitrites
nitrates
alkalinity

Do those tests and post the results here and we'll be able to help a lot more.
