Powerhead wattage question.....

I'm thinking about buying a few heaters for my standalone fuges, decision is tough when it's $18 for a 100 W and $20 for a 300W!! I have a few tanks ranging from 10 - 20g's, and i wanted to know if the higher watt heaters would suck more energy over time to create the same temp, or if it would use the same to heat it and then shut off....replies needed, thanks

I would just get the bigger one. I don't think it will suck up too much energy because it will just heat up quicker and shut off. Plus that way if you ever upgrade you'll have a heater to use!

Becareful not to go too big, heaters have a tendency to stick and if that happens you could boil your livestock before you realize something is wrong.
