Hi Hollywd,

Here's some pics of your tang and his new buddies as promised.

Just wanted to share some images with everyone of the purple tang I adopted from Hollywd. Currently residing in a 265 with 5000+ gph from two streams to play in. It's one of the best looking purples I've seen and eats like a pig. Right now he's about 7".

Had a mild case of ick shortly after bringin him home. I'm leaving him in the main display and feeding like crazy. Spots are pretty much gone except for 3 or 4, so all is well after 2 weeks. Scrapes and bruises from the tough catch have also grown back and healed up.

Thanks for trusting me with such a beautiful fish....he's already the highlight of the tank.

To help with the ick feed a garlic soaked food. Nice fish! Any full tank shots?

4 big tangs in a 265. Good luck. I hope such pretty fish do not beat eachother up.

You are welcome - glad to hear he's doing well! He looks happy, zooming around in that big tank. And your other fish are gorgeous. Those are great pics - the shutter on my camera was too slow to ever get really great pics. Like Ben, I'd also like to see a full tank shot too.

He is a true pig - I used to try to chase him away with the turkey baster while I target fed my jawfish, and he didn't care - as long as there was food to stuff his face, he would!

Not surprised about the ick.. the only time he ever had ick in 2 years was right after I brought him home originally.

An FYI - he likes to be cleaned by neon gobies. I had a pair with the blue stripe. He prefers them to cleaner shrimp. Plus they are really neat little fish that add almost no bioload.

Keep me updated - I'd love to see how big he gets in that tank. I miss him, but am happy he likes his big new home!
