Hi,

I have 2 - 1" drains that drain a mag 9.5 that has to pump about 3-4ft up. It drains fine without strainers (I dont have an overflow) and i use an external durso. Anyways, when i put the strainers on, the drains cant seem to keep up anymore and I have to plug the holes on the durso which creates that annoying sucking sound.

Do they make strainers that won't take out too much flow?

Thanks

Isn't it the bigger the holes on a durso the more water that flows through?

No. That's the interesting thing about Dursos. The smaller the hole, the more of a siphon it creates and the more water it can flow. The bigger the hole, the more it acts like a regular drain (lower flow).

In a way thats preferrable because WHEN your air hole plugs with salt creep, it drains more. No danger of an overflow from that.
