I have just read a book recommended to me on this forum. Reef Invertebrates by Anthony Calfo and Robert Fenner. I bought it for some specific info on reef inverts. If only I had read this a couple of years ago - oh the hassle and mistakes I could have avoided. The information in the first few chapters alone makes this book IMO an absolute must. Anyone setting out or even established in this hobby should seriously consider reading this book before going any farther.
