Looking to purchase a new setup (tank, stand, canopy, etc.)

Please share with me the name of the store (contact info), the setup or items that you purchase and the deal.

Thanks for the info!!!

keep in mind that a best deal may not be a good deal in the long run. where ever you purchase they should be able to support and trouble shoot and such. In my opinion i would go to your favorite LFS and tell them what you want, most are done to order unless your are looking for a close out on a odd size or something. there is also nothing worse than having a tank that will not match your furniture in the home as well

I second the sale forum on RC. Or the socal forum and watch for the "FS" and "getting out of the hobby" type threads.

second the used gear nod-look for a complete setup and get everything for the price of a new tank & stand

Most are worth well over 3 times what they sell for used!

I have a BRAND NEW (Never touched water) set-up, includes:

Tank : VISIO 60g 24x24x24h with a overflow in the center back.
has 1.5" drain and 1" return for plenty of flow.

Stand: 24x24x30h pine stand with no finish yet, so you can choose
to do any finish on it.

Canopy: 24x24x12". 12" high for MH's and full opening top along with front door

If interested please PM and I'll send a few pics.

If you are going glass talk to frank/vinny at reef collection ( www.reefcollection.com ) they have really good prices and quality

definately get a used tank from the socal rf forum. their are always unbelievable deals that just dont compare with buying in stores. A 8000 system often goes for 1500 here. Just be patient and dont jump on the first decent deal you see, awesome deals occasionally pop up

I got my tank on eBay from a local reefer. Fantastic deal! All other equipment I bought online from wherever was cheapest after researching the products. http://froogle.google.com is helpful.

Go to you LFS that you support and give them a chance to price match. Support your LFS if you don't want to go the used route.
