This might sound dumb, but can they actually ship fish in this weather now? I know they got heating packs and everything, but I'm still wondering.

Most of the people in the industry are well equipped to package livestock for safe arrival in almost any climate. Airline delays are another issue though :) I would be hesitant to have livestock shipped until after the holiday season.

Wait until after the holidays. Then the best way to be sure of a safe arrival is to have the shipment held at the Fed Ex station for pick-up so it doesn't ride around in a cold truck.

Its one advantage of California (if you don't live in the Sierra's that is). It never gets too cold here :)

Figuring out the electric costs of your lighting is the downside.
