I bought some products today called Kent Marine Reef Starter Kit and Ammonia Detox.

The Reef Starter Kit contains three bottles (Liquid Calcium, Iodine, and Strontium & Molybdenum).

Please post experience and recommendations on this product.

Also, the Ammonia Detox claims to instantly neutralize chloramine, chlorine and ammonia.

Please post experience and recommendations on this product.

I really do trust Kent Marine's products, BUT I still need to know more before I dose my tank with this stuff.

I do have Torch Corals, Pumping Xenia, Polyps, and Zoos
And fish too!

Your information (along with experience) is welcomed.

Thanks!!!
- Chris

I would say not to dose until you have a test kit for whatever you are putting in your tank..it's easy to overdose..especially iodine.

Unless you have a lot of corals and it sounds like you don't, regular water changes will take care of most needs.

Test for calcium and alkalinity. Then dose the calcium and use baking soda if alkalinity needs to be raised. Most people dont reccomend additional strontium and molybdenum or iodine. If you do at least biweekly water change you should be ok with these. Calcium and alkalinity are important for your LPS.
