They have started eating my big Zoo rock after it's been in my tank for a week.

I'm thinking about pulling them all out, what could I replace them with?

Can you really see them eating the zoo's or are they picking around at algae?

I just knocked one off the rock and it took half a Zoo with it.

that sounds so strange. I have all kinds of zoanthids and about 200 assorted crabs nvr every seen them eat them. I have found little sundial snails thou at the bottom of the zoo's sucking them out........

It had been sitting in that area for 2-3 hours so then I knock it off and half a zoo comes off with it and 4-5 around the area of it look eaten as well.

Some people were talking about this last week or two. It's possible crabs will become opportunistic enough to eat corals. "Some" people believe this. They are opportunistic and we all agree on that. I haven't read anything official on this. Just personal accounts. But one thing is for sure... if they are starving they are gonna get pretty desparate. I would put some seaweed or something in there to supplement their diet.

I feed the tank for about 4 minutes almost every day. I only have 5 fish right now and none of them are huge eaters so I don't think they are starving but who knows.

if you have zoa's half eaten away, I would think you better look pretty close at what is really doing the damage. Nudibranch comes to mind....

I guess they are not that hungary I put some shrimp on a clip in and only a few of them came to eat.

I even them towards it and they run away.
