Curing LR/high nitrites

My LR has been curing about 2 wks. My ammonia level is zero, but my nitrite is off the chart...what is going on here? Do I need to perform a waterchange or just wait for it to go down?

Your nitrites will eventually break down to nitrates. Give it time
