I was doing a search on E bay and came across an E bay auction for" Assorted Macro Algae and Snails" and the seller had a note in the auction stating "Will not ship any species of Caulerpa to California" any one have any knowledge of caulerpa being illegal in California?
I have sent the seller several E mails but no respond from him .

To my knowledge, yes caulerpa is illegal in california. I remember reading something about it.

Yes, caulpera is not allowed to enter california for fear of contaminating natural habitats. California also bans ferrets (for more dubious reasons).

yeah you don't want caulpera - it's bad stuff. It can release toxins at times. Use cheato..
