okay, so we have a 29g reef, and we were thinking about building a custom light hood, using our current PCs by shelling them, then adding a couple actinics, and hopefully, a MH. anyone have any good ideas about how to do this, and maybe looking to sell anything we could use for it? my electrician skills are terrible at best, so i probably wouldn't be able to follow extremely technical instructions... thanks in advance for your AWSOME advice ;).

well my bro just went through the same decision over his 29. most ppl recomended a 175W MH and a few recomended a 250 W MH. but because heat was such an issue he decided to go with a 300W VHO setup off of hello lights hope this helps

You may want to also consider T5 lighting. More light than VHO's and less heat that a power compact

If you are concerned about space you might look into a 150 watt double-ended setup.
