Can anyone help me..? What does phosphate do and how it works? Do I really needed for my SPS coarls , is it a must??? I just bought a Phosphate killer made by Salifert. Is this a good product to use for my reef tank?????

Phosphate is a waste by-product which causes nusience algea growth among other things, so you don't want it in your tank if at all possible. ANy type of phosphate remover would be helpful, but I've never heard of the product you mentioned though.

yeah, this is a product that is made by Salifert and it's a well knowning brand. Anyways, do you know how often do I have to change media in my reactor???
