I'm in Florida now and the girls found a lot of shelfs and sand dollars, can i bring them home and put them in the tank???
Is there a need 4 cleaning and how safe is it.

If you are wash them off you should be fine. The only concern is that you got them in a nasty bay or lagoon they could have absorbed something, but anything exposed to the open ocean should be fine.

Dont use any soap, and if you want to be extra careful soak them in a weak beach/water solution (unscented, pure bleach).

Make sure there are no decaying animal bits inside.

Live sand dollars are illegal to collect, if I can remember correctly...but if they are just shells, then soak then in weak bleach solution like said, and you should be fine.
