i have been keeping freshwater tanks for 20 years now , and all wear CHRYSTAL clear, then i got into this sw thing,,,my one complaint is than the water always looks slightly clouded. i baught "kent""pro-clear" but i am afraid to use it, is it totaly safe? does it work? are their any inexpensive tricks to getting the water CRYSTAL clear? the one thing i did that helped was i switched from instant ocean mix to coralife mix ,,,but their is still a SLIGHT cloud,, and i just dont like that:(

Running fresh carbon weekly will go a long way to keeping the water clarity high. It's great at polishing the water. Of course so do those frequent water changes and aggressive skimming. :)

If you save up the funds, running ozone will blow you away with how clear the water will become.
