SG and water change?

I read my tank and its SG is 1.30 and my make up water is 1.025 if I change the water will it shock my snails and blenny?

How big is the tank? How much water are you planning on changing out?

SG should be lowered very slowly. To go from 1.030 down to 1.025, I would take at least a week to do it. You can lower SG by removing salt water from your tank and replacing it with RO, RO/DI, or distilled water. You don't need to replace it with more saltwater to lower the SG. Just remember to do it very slowly. Go down 0.001 each day until you reach 1.025.
