Glueing PVC pipes

Do I use the regular PVC pipe glue I from HomeDeot? How long should it "cure" before running tank water through it?

Yes. Oatey brand. You can use them after a couple minutes but for a reef tank you want to let the fumes totally evaporate out. I'd wait at least an hour then smell the pipes to make sure.

For improved stranght use the primer also.
Unless it is an emergency I would let it evaporate and vent for at least 24 hours, leave all valves open for the fumes to be released.
