I really want some pink zoas, but don't want to pay this much for them.

Is anyone else interested in some? If we get enough of us going in on them, I'll buy them and frag them apart. I'll also freshwater dip them to be sure that we don't get any unwanted pests such as nudi's or flatworms.

$10 seems steep for local pickup, hope the other stores don't start charging 10 bucks to bag a specimen!

Yea it is kinda steep, but the LFS's have sales tax to deal with. This would be at least $6. So I just consider the "pick up fee" a part of the coral price just like tax is a part of the overal price at the LFS.

I'm surprised he isn't required to charge sales tax on in state sales

You know Jen, I also have to wonder about this seller. He's got great corals, bu I'm not sure he knows what he's talking about. Like you said...he's done some shady things. I recently looked at a Goniopora he had for sale and he said its easy to keep and can be kept under any lighting.

Yea, I may pass on these exact ones. However, If I do find a nice colony of pink zoas, would any one be interested in a frag?

Actually on your tax form (state it think) there a line that asks if you made any purchases online or mail order you didn't pay sales tax on and it's up to you to remit that tax. If I remember right last year was the first year.

I am definately not buying these e-bay ones, I found my pink zoas. They are in QT now and plan on doing a Lugol's dip today and will inspect for nudis. I'll post pics later :)
