I myself prefer the Quiet One pumps, they have never steered my away. They always work, they run quieter and cooler than Mags do. I had a mag 9 on my 125 and it wasnt real loud but loud enough where it was annoying. The Quiet One pumps run virtually silent internally or externally. I have found them to flow very well and cost less than a mag.
Plus they are easy to take apart when cleaning time comes around as the mags you have to unscrew the cap and so on.

The size pump all depends on what type of corals you would like to keep and how much flow you actually want.
For a all around pump to do both I would say a pump the puts out around 1000GPH. The pump would be a Quiet One 4000.

For a 65G, I'd get a Mag5

You could get a Quiet One 4000 for $70. Or check out Ebay for better prices.
