I am planning on using a Sequene Barracuda feeding 4 return via a Ocean Motion 4 way. I plan to use the 2on 2 off version.

The returns will be 1" bulkheads. I plan to plumb 1 1/2" from the pump to the OM and 1" from the OM to the bulkheads.

In the tank I want to use Locline for the returns. However, I would have to use 3/4" locline and am afraid this will cause a loss in water flow.

WHat do you think?

I thought about just using a 1" 45 elbow coming out of the bulkheads, but this will be limited in adjustability like the loclinw will give me.

the problem I see is 2250gph out of an outlet.

out of a 3/4" locline it will be a pressure washer. but even out of a 2' outlet thats gonna be a guiser.

perhaps take your 4 way; and at very least split each return; so you have 8 total; then you have 1000 per outlet, which is better...

still I think your gonna be blasting your coral off the rock if this is going in your 125g tank.

Well, the way the om is set up, it the water flow will come out of 2 at the same time then slowly switch to the other 2. So at times water will be coming out of all 4 outlets, and never less than 2.

MAybe i should go down to the dart, which is what i was origanally thinking, but everyone is always saying you can't have to much flow.

I just finished hooking my 4-way up. I am using a dart for flow. I ran 1 1/2" pipe from the 4-way all the way to the end. At each end I put a 1 1/2" tee. I put a 1 1/2" to 3/4" threaded adapter in each side of the tee. From each side of the tee I will have a 3/4" locline going into the tank, making 8 adjustable inputs from a 4-way.

I had the same concerns as you about restricting the flow too much. Hopefully this will help out. Now for the disclaimer, I am about 3 weeks from firing my tank up so I have not tested it yet :). I thought it made sence in theory though.

They need to come out with the 1" locline, that would certainly save me a few hous sleep.

What about using a couple of 45s or 90s just slipped on the output. that would allow you some adjust for left/right/up/down.
Not as precise as locline, but shouldnt be the powerjet either

I just set up my system with a barracuda, 4-way, and four 1" holes as well. I have 2 holes on the lower back and two holes on the bottom. You are correct that the 3/4 loc line will reduce the flow. Let me give you another suggestion. Oceansmotions sells their omni flex nozzles and they work tremendous since they are 1". I bought 6 and I only needed 4. I will sell you my extra 2 for $20 each plus shipping if you want.
In any case, that is what I would suggest. They are extremely versatile. I also have 2 on my 1" sea swirls.

Doesn't OM have a loc-line knock-off that comes in 1"?

That is what I was referring to.
