I'm thinking about getting 2- 3 electronic meters (or more if i need em)first a salinity and a ph meter these two variables i know are important but should i get em for nitrates and amonia i mean are these nessesary or are the cheaper individual test more economicly practical?

what test do you do the most?cycling a tank you seem to test everything all the time what test kit should i get for this phase of my tank?

and what test are more expensive and you would think an electronic meter would be wiser?

Definitely get a PH meter. I love the two Milwaukee ph monitors i have. I am shopping for a salinity one now. There are others but I don't think they are worth the convenience yet. Look into controllers too, for future equipment upgrades

I would say PH and ORP. I use a Refractometer for salinity and I just can't justify buying a salinity monitor at this time.

As far as Ammonia and Nitrates, I would think that just using normal solution test kits would be the best.
