I just came by an Octopus 3000. I only got the ac plug and temp probe with the unit. No software or anything. Here is the question. Other than the probes what do I need to run this thing. I am famaliar with what this unit does but I have never ran one. Do I need to buy software (free somewhere?)? X-10 units etc.
Here is the thing, I do not really need this unit. I just need a total cost to get this baby running and decide if I really need it or should I just sell it and buy that new closed loop pump that has been calling my name? If I sell it any ideas on cost. RC search function is inop for now so I have no idea on a good price?
