Are there any products that specifically sell bacteria that convert nitrate into nitrogen?
The products I encounter at the lfs don't have any ingredients other than "live bacteria cultures" and I am confused as to which one to pick.

Why are you seeking such a product?

Those bacteria are anaerobic. If there was such a thing they would die as soon as you opened the bottle.

I have a "nitrate only" problem.

Live rock and/or sand.

Okay so are you guys saying that I shouldn't waste my money on any of those bacteria products at the lfs and instead I should just replace my LR and sand?

Replace? To export nitrates you need MORE LR and/or sand. Macroalgae refugiums work great too.

frequent water changes help to.

Correct the cause and there will be no symptom. Beware elixers that claim to be "easy" fixes. They always have undesirable consequences. How high are your nitrates?

Try AZ-NO4. Available at Marine Depot. It works great.

That's what I have with LR in the sump and main.
Nitrates at 15.
Could it be because things settle in the fuge, decay and produce nitrates?

Yup thats exactly what happens alot of the ditrus just settles in your sump. what i do is when iam going to do a water change, i take a turky baster and get the ditrus into the water. Then i shove a pump in there and pump all that crap out. Then i just replace it with new salt water helps keep my nitrates down.
I kinda use my sump as a bare bottom and just clean out any left over ditrus.

Skim more, feed less, lower bioload ... all ways to reduce nutrients.
