I've recently had 2 clowns die of a mysterious disease (mysterious to me anyway).

Clown #1 dies 1 wk after introduction. Clown #2, who had been in the tank 1 yr prior to the infected clown showing up began breathing heavily, feeding poorly... yadayadayada... fishless tank.

I didn't ever see Ich or faded patches, or really any skin sign to match with a disease picture. My corals are still perfectly happy.

Here's the question:
- How long should I leave my tank fallow?

Any general rule of thumb?

I was thinking 6 weeks since that appears to be the standard for ich. Will this have any impact on brookynella, flukes, etc in a display tank?

If it were me, I would go with the 6 weeks period, but there are no gaurantees since you don't know what killed the fish.

I would also urge you to quarantine any new additions,

Thanks. Quarantine lesson learned.
