To lessen clutter and noise, I'm considering putting my CPR Bac-Pak HOB Protein Skimmer in the refugium.
My refugium is not baffled. I have a 350gph return to the tank.
Other than the skimmer's Maxi-Jet 1200 chopping up a few pods, I can't think of any reasons it won't work.
Vibration could be a problem. Is there an inert household item I could put under the skimmer to reduce vibration? My wife probably won't miss that silicon hot pad she just bought (I'll put some gravel over it).
