I have several small anenomes that are spreading rapidly throughout the tank. They look like small bubble tips but they do not get very big and are popping up everywhere. I have had my tank up for almost 4 years and all of a sudden I have these little guys everywhere and I have seen 2 little aiptasias as well. I have not added anything as far as livestock goes for well over a year. Any ideas on what they may be or how to get rid of them. I am sorry I do not have a picture.

I believe I have the same critters.I have had them for about 16 months.Popped up from nowhere. They don't seem to bother anything and have stayed smaller than a dime.I have been moving them to my sump to use as scubbers.Nothing seems to eat them and they were too hard to control so I ecided to make use of them.

Sounds like majano. Deal with them the same as with Aiptasia. Inject them with kalk.

Mine are green. They look almost like a baby green bubble tip anenome.

Does it look something like this

They are know as orange ball anenomes. They are actually more related to mushrooms than anything else

I have a bunch of them all over my tank also
According to Melev's reef site they are harmless

Mine are not clear and do not have orange balls on the ends. They are green. I will try and get a picture.
