Well, while examining a frag of zoanthids we picked up, I noticed this weird looking thing. It is hard to the touch and doesnt appear as though it moves/moved at any point in its life, but I could be wrong. Very tiny, scarcely larger than the head of a pin.

The frag of zoas had already endured a good zoa dip and this may have been dead since then, but who knows. I pulled it off just to be sure.

Thanks,

Steve

PS. By the way, I posted this on a local forum and no one had ANY clue as to even where to begin looking, so I'm asking those here to see if they can come up with anything for me.

I think this is one for Dr. Ron.

My best guess is that it's an egg capsule from some sort of whelk, but I wouldn't put much value in that guess.

Ok, will post over there too, thanks! (For whatever reason, I'm always scared to post there until I've been reccomended there by someone else :p).
