I know that the acan lords can be bleach either from stress, lighting, water condition, freshy pluck from the sea etc... but is there a possibility that the color is just white?

No.

hehe, what isjg said :D

that is a sign of loss/death of the symbotic algae that lives in the tissue. A white lord or micro is on it's way to deads-ville, some strontium and target feedings are it's only hope

Reason I ask is because I just got a nice colony with close to 50 large polyps that are puffy and have full tenticle extensions. I will take some pictures tomorrow and post it. The polyps have actually not shown any skeleton since its been in the tank and looks healthy.

There are different answers to that question.

Are you talking about clear/white caused by bleaching or actual white pigment?

I have seen some acans with some white pigment before, like the kind berlinmethod used to have.

white flesh and white skeleton showing are two different things

I buy bleached acans once in a while cuz they're cheap and color up to soemthing cool hopefully

Yes you can get them with SOME white pigment on them, this is normal. 4 of my 5 have some white pigment, stripes across the rim or a thin ring around the top. The important thing is that they aren't ALL white. All white = bleached.

those do look a bit bleached to me. give them some decent lighting, light flow, and alittle time and i bet they'll start showing some color

I have seen bleached acans (somewhat transparent), and trust me these puppies are not. I am sure they will color up in the future but they are already under T5's and have decent flow. They behave just like my other fully colored acans.

I saw one like this in the lfs last week with a slightly greener tint. Definately looked bleached to me and I would expect it to colour up possibly to red/brown with green centres.

Spine, I know what you mean by it does not look normal bleached but when Acan Lords got bleached like clear white than gotten good amount of lights they turn like that....

I have seen some light green turn pale gray (like white) initially if they put in too strong light than what it used get.

Good luck with nice colony Acan you got.

they certainly are a lighter morph but if you look at the bottum right side of the first picture you can see the slight amount of redish tan still there. i dont think theyll end up being a dark lord but i do think color will follow with time and good lighting.
how long have you had them?
