Oregon Tort

Hey all,
I contacted Travis at UpScales (an Oregon Reef Store) about the availability of the original OT and asked about a group order. His response was 6 Oregon Torts are available for our reef club. I'm looking for 5 people to share in the shipping. The frags are $50 each. Logistically it would be best if they were shipped to Knox, and I come and get mine.

I'm guessing about $70 shipping/6 ~ $12
PP Fees ~ $1.25
Frag $50

$64 Total

First five names (from our reef club) on this thread will be reposted and I'll request the $$.

At that time I'll post the arrival date and who has the frags.

Two questions:

Who will accept them?
Who wants in?

I get biggest frag :D.

I'll bite, have always wanted to ask anyhow; why are the Oregon torts so sought after?

There is nothing more blue that I've seen. If your not into torts or blue thingees in your tank it does not matter.

There is an OT thread in the SPS forum right now, the pics are very accurate.

Becker tort is not the same as the Oregon tort. Also, the oregon tort is th slowest growing tort of the bunch, but probably the most spectacular.

i lost mine in a sps crash many moons ago..I can't tell you how bummed I was...that was one of my favorites.

Mine grew like crazy...completely encrusted over it's mount in no time...turned a neat greenish aqua color. Then I moved into my new tank and lost it somewhere in the rockwork. It was attached and I don't know where that rock went. For all I know, it could still be in there somewhere. *hoping to find it one day*
