how long to leave filter,pumps on?

i've got a really dumb question but how long do i leave the filter, pumps on for?
i know its a very dumb question but i need to know.
do i leave it all the time 24/7?

Yes, you should leave all pumps, skimmers, sumps, filters and reactors on 24/7.

Why can't you put a clown fish with a gold fish? Will they fight? (lol, I can't believe someone would actually ask that)

You can shut those items down for maintenance/cleaning though. ;)
