Our naso tangs fins tissue is disappearing from the head half way down. He has been very health for the 1 1/2 yrs we have had him. All other fish are doing great. Parameters are fine. Any ideas of what could be going on? and how to treat?

Sounds like Head and Lateral Line Erosion (HLLE). Check out the following threads for more info:

Thanks Rondelet, I'll let you know if it matches up.

Well if it were just the fins I would agree, but there are no pits, flacking of scales, or discoloration. Any other ideas?

Not sure what the deal was, but it seems to be coming back. Perhaps just a stress thing? Don't know why it happened, just very happy that he is going to be ok. Thanks for you help everyone!

Doesn't sound like HLLE to me. This can be a dietary problem. Fish will actually take protein from their own bodies to use in more vital areas when they do not get enough of it in their diet. You should examine the quality and variety in the diet.
