Fantastic pictures Greg!! (...and the corals aren't to shabby either, haha.) :p Thanks for sharing!!

Question: Do you still run a heavy (wet) skimming regime?

So Greg how are you taking the shots and not getting the glare from the mh. I know that you have 4 in there so how are you doing it. I always get the stupid light glare. Thanks

You don't get the stupid light glare if the lens of the camera is below the surface of the water. Thanks for the tip SkinnyChinaMan

What kind of camera do you use? Do you use a tripod?

Mchava

but how do you get the camera lense inside the tank with out getting water in it. That is the biggest question. I dont want to get the camera wet.

The Camera I use is a Nikon Coolpix 8700. No tripod for top down shots.
Mario from what I have been told, some cameras have sealed lenses so it is not a problem with them. I don't know which cameras don't have sealed lenses though so don't ask me. If you stick it in the water and it doesn't work anymore, dont blame m!.

Yes Gunther I am pulling between 1 to 2 gallons per day. Color of the skimmate is like iced tea.

WOW! Very nice stuff you have there. Call me odd but I like #2 the green gomezi, It stands out to me more than the blue ones that I see all the time. I am also finding that my Hoek. is also growing in a staghorn type growth. Good stuff, and keep up the "SPS".

gcarroll - Greg, what do you maintain your temperature at? Also, still running no chiller? Thanks.

It's green cause every time someone goes over to Greg's they puke on it.

Still chasing those illusive specs or magic technique? Just get a bigger tank already Gunther!

Right now my goal temp is 78.5. The tank never goes below 78 and never above 80. I am still running two $7 clip on fans, no chiller. The temp is controlled by an Aquacontroller Jr. I used to have the fans on a timer but often times the fans were cooling the tank so much that the heater would come on. Thankfully that woun't happen now and I may save a little electricity also. No secrets her Gunther, just stable water quality. To be honest, now that I have all these fish, my ORP levels have never been this low. Maybe I'll change my crbon more that once every 6 months or so.
