Hey, I bought a 48w T5 High output fixture for my 20gallon nano which I recieved today and I was wondering about what kind of lps & if any sps would do well under this lighting.

any suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks, Harrison

Most LPS should be fine. Sps close to the light. What reflectors/hood?

Its a Odyssea 24" 48w T5 HO lighting system with a polished alluminum reflector.

I would add another on to the 20. two would be perfect.

Keep the corals centered under the light until you get another one...
I wouldn't do much SPS. Montiporas should be fine, as well as most LPS.

Softies don't need much light at all.

I not going to put any sps in until i get the other light which I should have be mid november.

Another thing I was wondering is should I get another one of these or get a 110w pc light to add on.

If it was a yellow tang that had steak knife marks in it that would be erik. :)

It was all bloody and it did look like it might have gotten into a knife fight with someone:).

I got there after you left the cooler there and the reason I am wondering is because that caluarpa you had is really good at getting rid of phosphates so if you ever want to get rid of any I'll take some of it off your hands :)

Sure, you can have some of my caulerpa if you want it...

It's full of these flat red looking pods, I'm sure they're excellent for your reef!

bummer. the stuff i have grows incredibly fast. just to think i all but gave up on it until i changed the screw in type pc bulbs in my sump. Glad that i changed the bulbs rather than order more from that dude that you did erik. that seems to be one of the only good decisions that i've made about reefing:)
It doesn't have any bugs. i would hate to throw the stuff away
