Tunze stream

Need to add some flow to my bare bottom reef. Does the tunze 6000 come with a controller or is the blue thing pictured only speed control. If so the 6080 is 60 cheaper for no speed control.

The 6080 is a stream that puts out 2250 g/hr and can NOT be controlled with a controller.

The 6000 puts out 1850 g/hr and CAN be controlled with a controller. It does NOT come with the controller. That more $.

You are paying more for the 6000 because it can be upgraded with a controller whereas the 6080 can not be upgraded.

The 6000 with singl controller is around $318.

The blue thing in the standard Tunze 6000 picture is not a powerhead but a part of the electronics system. There is a screw that you can turn that will decrease the pumps output.

The controller for the tunze is a big deal to met will really help achieve a much more dynamic flow in the tank.

I would recommend the 6100 with controller over the 6080 any day even though it is more expensive and has less flow.
