Dr. Ron,

Attached is picture taken through the microscope of a cool little snail I found in my refugium amongst the bryopsis. It has a spiral shell with two distinct valleys that run down the length of the shell. Can you give me an idea of what this might be?

Hi Sandy,

It is a small trochid, my guess it is that it is a newly settled "baby" snail that has just gone through metamorphosis from its planktonic larval phase.

Cool! I have found several different types of very small snails while on microscope safaris.
