Looking to purchase the Geo 612 or Barr Aquatics 1200 calcium reactor for my 150 reef. They both look well made but the Geo is cheaper. Anyone using either one? I need to decide which one to buy. Thanks

I have the Geo. For quality, ease of use and price you can't beat Geo.
Do a search for the Geo thread started by tangboy. It has tons of testimonials on how great the Geo's are.

I have a GEO, excellent unit..........and very good customer support. It does require a supply (pump?). The Barr unit is self feeding. If I could have waited through the build cycle I would have gotten a Barr unit.

Eriks if the the Barr unit is self feeding what makes the water go through it?

Having not used the unit I'm not 100% sure, but I believe the design allows the recirculation pump to draw water into the unit = feed pump & recirc all in one.

Only Zephrant knows for certain
