I am sorry to say, but with the exception of the green star polyps, everything looks dead. I would not remove anything at this point though. There is a possibility that some of your corals may produce viable offspring after death. It is called anthocauli. It is a somewhat routine occurance in Fungia (plate corals) and I also witnessed it in a brain coral (Trachyphyllia).

OK thanks. I am now fighting with petco. The heater was only in my tank for 2 days and on the lowest setting. Boiled close to $700 worth of livestock. unreal.

You might have better luck with the heater manufacturer.

the manufacturer is internation pet supply distributers. I did research on-line and I think they own petco?

I agree with Steven - and what a shame!

well it's one moth, and everything is still the same. nothing looks like it is going to grow back. the green stars are now just flat rock. The only miricle is that one of the 3 feather dusters grew back. All feathers fell out of tube on sand bed and one now reappeared.

Well I just got good news, Petco is going to give me full payment for the loss. over $600. I am so glad I took before and after photos and saved all recipts to prove my case. Any way, should I just get a bunch of corals and re-fill my tank which is pretty much empty, or spend the money on MH lighting which I don't have. What do you think?
