Hello All,

My current tank is a 120 RR, but I have taken all of the rock out to cook it and while I am doing this I thought I would increase the size of my bulkheads in my RR box,

Questions
1 Is this possible?
2. If I wanted 2400 of flow, I know I need to drill a 2 inch hole but buy what sizes bulkhead
3. Do I have to mess with my return line hole as I will just add another return to the other side of the tank.
4. Will I crack my tank if I do this

Thanks
Chris

what brand tank is it? i'm not positive about an Oceanic but the AGA has a tempered bottom so you can not re-drill the holes larger sorry.

also a 2" hole doesn't fit standard bulkheads, a 1 1/2" bulkhead uses a 2 3/8" hole. your 1" bulkhead factory drilled should be a 1 3/4" hole already.

Also, yes, you would have to re-plumb everything. 1" is 1" is 1". If it's 2" input, but still going into a 1" tube, it's going to be limited by the 1"....

Ya cant drill just read tanks site and its temperd (spelling?) glass,

I guess now I will focus on a killer closed loop setup.

you could possibly drill holes in the back wall and install the tank long overflow box that you can find in Anthony Calfo's book or there is a thread aobut it on diy on rc right now.....the back glass is not tempered
