Hi,
I have had these things in my tank for a little while now. They grow on everything, glass, snail shells, pumps, ect. My question is what are they and how do I get rid of them? They are a pain to remove. I have to scrape the tank with a razor blade to get them off. Their shell is hard and spiraled. Any advice on how to get rid of these or how to keep their growth to a minimum would be great.
thanks,
Chris

They are a type of worm / feather duster I believe. Reef Safe. I'd suggest more routine cleaning to keep them from taking hold.

They are actually tube worms, good filter feeders. I'donly remove them from your viewing areas.

Spirorbid tube worms..harmless...usually proliferate in nutrient rich conditions....

if they grow on your glass(which the often do) you will have to use a razor blade to remove them tho...a regular mag float wont work.
