A powerhead 'pumps' water doesn't it?

while a powerhad does pump water, "Pump" usually refers to a large pump, rather than a power head, witch pumps fewwer GPH than a "pump does...

all i need it to do is pump water from my 5 gallon bucket on the floor through a tube up to my display tank about 4 or 5 feet about the floor... this way i can just drop the ph or pump in the water... hook my tube up over the edge of my display tank... and plug in the power head... it will take 2 minutes and me doing absolutly no work to put the water into my tank... instead of using tupperware like i do now.

its messy and just a pain in the butt.. a ph will make water changes just that much easier.

powerheads usually are used souly for circulation. pumps are mostly used to move large amounts of water from one tank to another. some people use them for closed loops also

id use a small pump or a big power head for that

You need a pump not a power head to do this job. Maybe something with a max head of 10' so you still get good flow @ 5' head.
The mag 5 pump has a max head of 10'6" (the max height it will pump water)
The flow rate @ 6' is 185gph.

I think this would be a good pump to do what your wanting....Dependable and reasonable price.
