DE with Supps

I've been running a Phoenix 250watt DE bulb for some time now. The color just isn't doing for me anymore. So I would like to know know who is running DE bulbs with Supplements (which bulb, Color temp and what supps) Are you happy with the color?

I am running the Phoenix 14K's with 440 watts of O3 actinic. So far everything seems fine.

do you run the actinics for dusk-dawn affect or all the time

Actinics are used for dusk dawn but also stay on with the halides.

I do the same as jjjimmy except I have 2 actinics. I have a 68 gallon tank. I like the look so far. I was always used to the ushio look with actinics.

how old are the phx's ? cos you know after 5-6 months you're supposed to replace the bulb. :]

I heard 8-12 months, I'm at about 6months

I'm using AC 14KK's with T5's (one actinic, one 11KK). I tried using 2 actinics and it was too blue/purple. I really like the color of the 14KK's, even without the supplementation. It's just that th 1 actinic bulb makes some of the colors really pop.
