add the salt... you should have added the salt before you added sand, but no big deal... you might have to stir the sand, because the water in the bottom of the sand will be less salty than the rest of th water.... for a while, the sand will eventually settle... good luck!

what do I do with the maxi-jet 1200 pump? do I turn it on? also, should I put the Remora skimmer on there or not tonight??? I have two pumps, one for the skimmer, the other for added water circulation.

salt should always go first, because if it settles in the sand, it wont mix well.

But just use something to stirr it up if u notice that. You could place a power head in the circulate the water
