Sorry for the fairly dumb question, but would using a fan help silicone sealant (the vinegar smelling kind) cure faster?

I ask because I was out of commision with a nasty wisdom tooth extraction and am behind on getting my sump back up and running after some redesign work.

Obviously, lots of air blowing on stuff will cause it to dry faster. I'm just not sure exactly how the acid thats in the sealant cures the silicone. It's been sitting for 24 hours with lots of fast air movement.

Thanks.
Tony

I think it cures by evaporation of chemicals??? Not sure?
If so, it would help to have air moving across it.........

no sorry a fan on silicon will not help it dry faster it is a chemical reaction it takes time do not rush it. i fan tho does help disapate the fumes into the air so the smell goes away faster.

Warm it up to 100 deg F and it will cure faster. You can take it to max of 125 deg. But 100 will cure it in a few hours.
