What is the minimum size sump recommended for a 125g. I know fit largest one possible. But I am real limited on space.

I'd make it as big as you can fit. I would say 20g at the very minimum.

How much space do you have to work with? I am able to fit a 30 gallon under my 90 gallon tank. I am putting a 75 under the 180 I am planning.

If you are struggling to fit any of 20+ gallon tanks, you may try rubbermaid containers (that are safe to fill with water). They are shaped a little differently and may allow more usable space then a standard aquarium in the space that you do have.

I can fit a 30 gal in there. But I did not know if it was too small.
