Hi, I'm getting some white calcium build up on my tank/equipment. They are like little 1 mm cubes and grow on my powerheads and the tank. There is a few on my rocks also.

Any way I can correct this? I'm sure its not good. Its not coralline. I have no calcium test, but my alkalinity stays around 2.25-3 meq/L (a little on the low side but "acceptable").

Look really close. If they are spirals they are a harmless little worm.

Nope, definately a calcium buildup. I pulled out a pump the other day and they only come off with my thumbnail.

Check levels of Ca and PO4. Is you water tap, RO, or RO/DI?

RO/DI.

Can't get a Calcium or PO4 test right now, it sucks being young and having a part time job at a grocery store.

Some of the nice folks at the LFS will test for free or at least very cheaply.
